5 Impactful Quotes From Our Black Paper On Equalism

A few weeks ago, we talked about how our Black Paper on Equalism came to be. While we plan to release more Black Papers on different areas of our society, this Black Paper captures our current vision for replacing capitalism with Equalism.

We don’t claim to have all the answers, but we’re asking many of the right questions, and we hope you’ll join us in questioning the status quo and working out what equality looks like for you.

As a starting point, we’d like to share five quotes from the Black Paper that have already made a significant impact on those who’ve read it. Here they are:

  1. "So colonised is our thinking and are our minds - and this is by design thanks to the education system - that we find it hard to imagine what an equal world could even look like - for many, there is no big vision."

  2. “The piecemeal approaches we see as an attempt to drive change fail because there’s no big picture vision into which all the pieces of the puzzle can be slotted."

  3. " Every individual has personal responsibility for themselves,; living in a system which enables and empowers this through education and access to resources needed."

  4. “The idea of the Black Paper is not to claim we have all the answers - who could? It’s to ask many of the right questions and get people thinking and talking and, most importantly, acting.”

  5. "At Mission Equality, we believe equality is achievable - if we ask the right questions, operate from different paradigms and question everything we believe to be true today. Are you ready?"

What does an equal world look like to YOU?
