We’re almost two months in to leading the first cohort through the Mx of Equality in Leadership and Business.
It is an interesting experimenting in doing things differently, although we are using tried and tested frameworks and approaches which we already know ‘work’.
One of these approaches is the goal of supporting the cohort to unlearn/relearn the way to self direct their own education and experience of work, instead of the spoonfeeding we usually all experience (by design) throughout our conventional education.
It’s a key part of the decolonising process and one which reaps significant benefits, for everyone…I talk more about this in the video.

Yes yes yes to the importance of self-direction. Love this so much. I think Montessori schools also value this, but it's drilled out after children join mainstream schools.
Also, why does it still take me a minute to go from focusing on how much I love your accent to the words you are saying in that accent... the squirrels in my brain are trying to self-direct methinks 🫠
